Va. (WDBJ) - HCA Virginia officials are asking folks to leave their Christmas lights on to show support for healthcare workers.

HCA Virginia, the parent company to LewisGale, wants healthcare workers across Virginia to see the support and gratitude as they drive to or from their shifts. The Healthcare Heroes Campaign will run through January.

“So January is a dark month, and we hope that light, the holiday light, can give a beam of hope to these healthcare workers, especially as they travel to and from work. They’re tired, they’re scared, they’re emotionally drained,” said Jeff Caldwell, associate vice president of communications for HCA Healthcare’s Capital Division.

HCA Virginia asks you share photos of your neighborhood or your own home and use the hashtag on social media #LightsUp4Heroes. You can tag your local healthcare facility.
