200 caught partying illegally at Ohio warehouse
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO/WVLT) - An investigation is underway in Cleveland, Ohio after more than 200 people were caught partying in a non-liquor permit warehouse on New Year’s Eve without following social distancing guidelines.
WOIO reports that the Ohio Investigation Unit received multiple complaints from citizens and liquor permit holders regarding illegal alcohol sales and overt disregard for public health measures.
Officers who responded at around 11:40 p.m. said they saw more than 200 people packed tightly in the warehouse with no social distancing or physical barriers put in place. They also saw a full-service bar. They seized more than 750 bottles and cans of alcohol.
Charges are pending in connection to the incident pending review by a prosecutor.
