ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - Former Radford University basketball star Tyrone Travis died Sunday night in Florida, where he lived, after complications from a stroke.
Travis played for the Highlanders from 1989 to 1994, scoring more than 1,300 points. He is tied for 12th on Radford’s career scoring list. He ranks 10th on the career rebounding list and first on the career blocked shots list.
One of the best players in school history, he was a great teammate, who had a huge grin that will certainly be missed. Ty was just 49-years-old.
