Henry County authorities continue searching for runaway teen

HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - 4/07/21 UPDATE: The Henry County Sheriff’s Office said it is still searching for a runaway teen who left home on April 4.

Elizabeth Claire Rigney was reported as a runaway by her mother, Tiffany Jamison. She was last seen leaving her home on Valley View Drive in Bassett. After being told not to leave, she got into a vehicle with her boyfriend, who is also a juvenile.

The sheriff’s office said Rigney has spoken with her mother by phone since leaving and is refusing to return home or reveal her location. There is no information to indicate she is in danger at this time.

Rigney is 5-foot-6-inches tall and weighs approximately 115 pounds. She has red hair and brown eyes.

EARLIER: The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help locating Elizabeth Rigney, 14, who has been missing since Sunday.
