BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - Libraries in Botetourt County are now fully open to the community.

Folks can use the computers and pick their next read or movie off the shelves themselves after months of curbside pickups.

The library system said many people have already stopped by to use the resources in these first few days of COVID restrictions being lifted.

It plans to offer even more to people in the months to come.

“Hopefully getting as close to normal as we can, starting mainly in the fall, when we are going to be able to do our in-person programing again and our book sales and things like this,” Blue Ridge Library Branch Manager Sarah Rodgers said.

There have also been upgrades to the libraries while they were closed to the public. The Blue Ridge branch has new carpets, new sitting areas and new murals on the wall.
