Two arrested for shooting and robbery in Henry County
HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - A man remains in a hospital after being shot, and two men have been charged with his shooting and for robbing him.
Early June 2, 2021, the Martinsville-Henry County 911 Center got a call that a person had been shot on S&L Court in Collinsville. Deputies found Mason Wasoski, 19, of Stuart, inside his vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head. He was flown to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The investigation led detectives to determine Leif Keiglen Rider Hughes and Tymear Rayvonne Thompson had planned to rob Wasoski. They arranged to meet with the victim on S&L Court, according to investigators, to buy marijuana. Detectives say Thompson robbed Wasoski and shot him.
Hughes, 18, of Martinsville was charged and arrested for the Aggravated malicious wounding, Armed robbery and Conspiracy to commit robbery.
Tymear Rayvonne Thompson, 20, of Martinsville was charged and arrested for the Aggravated malicious wounding, Armed robbery, Use of a firearm during the commission of a felony and Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Both are being held in the Henry County Jail without bond.
