ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - Appalachian Power has restored power to a handful of customers who lost power.

The driver of an SUV hit a power pole late Thursday morning.

Brandon Avenue was closed in both directions at Franklin, from the Ramada Inn to George’s flower shop, as police investigated.

About five AEP customers are without power, according to the outage website.
