ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - Fire crews have extinguished a house fire on the corner of 11th Street and Tazewell Avenue Southeast in Roanoke.

Hayden Fidelis, a witness to the fire, says he and a friend went to help a person who broke through a window to get out. He says the person was cut from the glass. “At least he’s okay, God bless, man. At least we’re all safe.”

One person was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to fire investigators.

The cause of Wednesday’s fire has not been determined.
