CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - One person was killed Thursday in a crash on Richmond Highway/US 460 in Campbell County.

Virginia State Police say the crash occurred at 7:24 a.m. September 20 in the 9300 block of Richmond Highway.

Police say the driver of a Toyota Corolla was headed east on Richmond Highway and was rear-ended by the driver of an eastbound Honda Civic. The driver of an eastbound Dodge Dakota was unable to avoid the first crash and rear-ended the Honda. The impact caused the Honda and the Dodge to catch fire.

The driver of the Honda was killed; no name has been released. The body has been taken to the Office of the Medical Examiner for examination, autopsy and identification.

The drivers of the Toyota and Dodge sustained minor injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
