Brush fire contained on Tobacco Row Mountain

AMHERST Co., Va. (WDBJ) - A brush fire burning in Amherst County has been contained, according to Amherst Fire.

The fire grew to about 20 acres, with Virginia Department of Forestry crews still on hand for mop-up and full extinguishment as of Monday morning.

The cause of the fire, which was reported Saturday, has not been determined.

The Monelison Volunteer Fire Department joined Amherst Fire and the Department of Forestry in responding to the brush fire on Tobacco Row Mountain.
