Ann Taylor is glad to be back in her home state of Virginia. She is from Mecklenburg County, just outside of our viewing area and enjoys going back home to see her family and friends whenever she can.

Ann Taylor attended William Peace University in Raleigh, North Carolina where she got her Bachelors degree in Communications with a focus in Integrated Media and a minor in Psychology. While in College, she dipped her toes for the first time in News at WRAL as a News Production Assistant during the week after classes and then became the Weekend Assignment Editor and Nightside Assignment Editor before taking her first Reporter job with Spectrum News in Wilmington, North Carolina.

While working in Wilmington, Ann Taylor covered Hurricanes Florence and Dorian as well as the aftermath and recovery. She loves getting to know people in the community and telling impactful stories.

In her free time, she loves spending time with her Chocolate Lab, Addie and indulging in all of the restaurants the Roanoke Valley has to offer. She would love to hear from you, send her an email or follow her at Ann Taylor WDBJ7 and shoot her a message with story ideas.
