Stewart Grant from Verizon Wireless stopped by 7@four to talk about smart technology that you can use in your child's room to make checking on them and keeping them safe a little easier.

Grant showed us the Nest Cam, a Phillips Hue starter kit and a Google Home.

The Nest Cam Security Camera lets you keep an eye on what matters most to you, even when you're far from home. Take advantage of 24/7 live video streaming to your mobile device or tablet. Get alerts if something happens and watch the footage of your home live in super clear 1080p HD. Whether it's identifying uninvited house guests or trying to figure out where the dog hid your shoe, Nest Cam helps you capture it all.

Whether it s soft light for a romantic dinner or bright and cheery when hosting a gathering, the Hue Personal Wireless Lighting Kit makes it easy to set the right mood every time. Limited only by your imagination, Hue light bulbs can generate up to 16 million colors, and they can be controlled via a Wi-Fi connection and an app on your smartphone or tablet. Parents can use the Hue kit to adjust the lights in baby's room using an app or Google Home. This way, if you're holding your baby and trying to get him/her to sleep, you don't have to move to adjust the lights exactly how you want them.

With technology in mind, using technology to set up your baby's smart room can help give parents some peace of mind.
