BUCHANAN, Va. (WDBJ7) It is one of the last true fountains and grilles in the country. For decades, locals and visitors alike have gathered at the Buchanan Fountain and Grille for good food and great company.

For many, the fountain and grille is almost identical to the way they remember it growing up.

"This is the greatest place, you know. You’re proud of it. It’s a place you’re proud of," said Sue Watts, who has been going to the grille her entire life.

The food isn't flashy, but it is really good. For breakfast, check out the homemade biscuits and sausage gravy combo. For lunch or dinner, pick from the list of unique burgers!

A must-try burger is called the Benny, which is a burger topped with a fired egg and homemade hollandaise sauce.

"Egg runs over the seasoned burger and then you have the rich hollandaise sauce on top. Everything is working together,” said WDBJ7's Josh Birch.

The Buchanan Fountain and Grille is at 19771 Main St, Buchanan, VA 24066. The phone number is (540) 266-8803.
