19-year-old girl dies in fatal Botetourt County crash

According to Virginia State Police, 19-year-old Amanda Mckayla Reid of Troutville has died in a car crash on Route 220 in Botetourt County Sunday.
State police say the crash happened on Route 220, near Route 839 in Botetourt County at 8:25 a.m. Saturday.
According to Virginia State Police, Reid was traveling south in her 2004 Dodge Intrepid on Route 220 when she ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, and crossed the roadway causing her to hit the embankment.
Police say she was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where she died from her injuries the next day.
Police say Reid was wearing her seat belt.
Virginia State Police are still investigating.
