Nebraska teacher admits to more sexual assaults of children

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) -- A judge denied bond Wednesday for Gregory Sedlacek, a metro elementary school teacher, accused of sexually assaulting a child - this as the scope of the case widened with Sedlacek's admission of more incidents with other victims.

Sedlacek made his first appearance in court Wednesday morning where a prosecutor said the defendant had given detectives a list of girls with whom he said he had sexual contact. They included students at the Pine Ridge reservation and at Sacred Heart School.

The charge that put him in jail grew from an alleged incident with a student at Fontenelle Elementary School where Sedlacek has been working as a first-grade teacher. He was placed on leave at the time of his arrest this week.

In the Fontenelle case, he has been charged with two counts of First Degree Sexual Assault on a Child. Prosecutors say the victim was a 7-year-old girl.
