Amherst County man and woman facing drug, gun charges

AMHERST COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ7) -- A shots fired call in Amherst County led deputies to illegal guns and drugs, and two people are now facing charges.

According to a post on the Amherst County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, deputies responded to the initial call on May 11, at a home in the 600 block of Early Farm Road.

After a search warrant was issued for another site in the area, numerous firearms, 19 grams of meth and 3 ounces of pot were all uncovered.

Hunter Shaw and Tristan Whorley, both of Poorhouse Farm Road, were later arrested.
