Authorities investigating bomb threats at Craig and Bath County Courthouses

CRAIG CO. and BATH CO., Va. (WDBJ7) UPDATE:

The Bath County Courthouse has been evacuated after a suspicious email was received of a possible bomb in the courthouse, according to the Bath County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office responded to the threat Wednesday around 12:21 p.m.

Bath County deputies and Virginia State Police searched the courthouse with a bomb sniffing K-9.

No device was found.

The courthouse was closed for the rest of the day.

The Craig County Courthouse and surrounding buildings have been evacuated due to a bomb threat at the courthouse, according to the Craig County Sheriff.

The sheriff says the threat came in Wednesday through an email to the Supreme Court of Virginia around 1:45 p.m.

Virginia State Police are investigating the building.
