Automotive company expands, brings 25 new jobs to Botetourt County

BOTETOURT Co., Va. (WDBJ7) -- An automotive company announced it will expand, bringing 25 more jobs to Botetourt County.

Metalsa Structural Products, an automotive solutions provider, announced Wednesday it will invest $6.4 million to bring 25 new jobs to Botetourt County.

Founded in 1956, Metalsa operates as a subsidiary of Grupo Proeza, a private company headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico that employs more than 13, 500 workers globally.

The company manufactures structural components for the light and commercial vehicle industry.

Botetourt officials are excited by the announcement, and say it's the result of a decades-long relationship with the company.
