NARROWS, Va. (WDBJ) -- A woman in Narrows was startled early Thursday morning when something made a loud noise on her roof.
Beverley Conley said she heard what sounded like claws scraping on her roof at 1 a.m.. At first, she thought someone was attempting to break in, so she called her nephew to come to investigate.
When he arrived, he discovered bear tracks leading around the house, and Conley's chimney damaged. The culprit had already run off. Nobody was injured.
"It appears Santa has some competition this year," the family joked.
