LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) -- A piece of Bedford County history is up for sale.
This is the "Three Otters" home.
It was built in the 1830's and is on both the state and National Historical Registry list.
The Greek Revival-style home has never been listed on the market until now.
The 8,000 square-foot home includes a two-story kitchen. "The house sits on a 14 acre tract and has magnificent, picturesque views of the Peaks of Otter. Matter of fact I believe that's where the name "Three Otters" came from; the Sharp Top, the Flat Top and Harkening Hill," said Wendy Witt, the managing broker and realtor with eXp Realty.
The home is believed to have all original painting and fixtures from the inside out.
The builder, Abel Nichols is buried on the property.
The selling price is $600,000.
