Black Father Family organization is raising money to bail fathers out of jail for Father's Day
This Father's Day, the organization Black Father Family is doing something sweet for others. The organization works to shift the narrative on black fatherhood and offer opportunities to encourage black fatherhood.
So as part of their goal, they now have come up with the Fathers' Bailout Initiative. They are partnering with Ex-Out to raise money to bail black fathers out of jails across the state and send them home by Father's Day.
They are looking to bail out fathers with non-violent offenses whose bail amount does not exceed $500.
"I understand that there are certain systemic issues that remove these fathers from their households, and so I want to do everything I can to possibly give another young black child the same opportunity that I had to have their father in the house with them," Ryan Bell, Founder of Black Father Family, said.
