A high school student battling cancer got some help, not from his school, but from a rival.

Radford High School's Eric Burdette is battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Monday night, before the Girls Basketball game, Blacksburg High School presented the Radford team with $1,336 raised in a silent auction in December to help Burdette in his fight.

According to the Bruins for Burdette Facebook page, items were donated and raised by the Lady Bruins. In total, just under 30 items were auctioned off.
