Blacksburg takes public input on Main Street, Rt. 460 work

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) Blacksburg is taking the public's opinion before deciding on a plan to present to VDOT to get funding to fix a dangerous intersection.

The town presented four options for what to do at the interchange of North Main Street and Route 460.

People could ask questions and leave comments for what they'd like to see.

Town officials said they want to be sure people are involved in this decision.

"It's important for us to have public input, and really public buy-in," Blacksburg Deputy Town Manager Chris Lawrence said. "It's the public's money so it's critically important and it's also really a partnership with the town and VDOT, what's important to our citizens is what we want to make sure we're implementing."
