UPDATE: Body found in Roanoke River identified

Police have identified the body recovered from the Roanoke River as Betty "Susie" Fitzgerald Britt, 53, of Roanoke. She was reported missing on October 5.

The Medical Examiner's Office determined the cause of death to be accidental drowning, and have attributed the death to the recent storms.

According to VDEM, the drowning death of the body found has been attributed to Hurricane Florence.

Officials say that in total, four people have died from Hurricane Florence. So far, six people in total have died from Hurricane Michael.
