Bomb threat at Hanes Brands in Martinsville

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- A threatening message was discovered inside Hanes Brands Inc. in Martinsville. The message said that an explosive device was placed inside the building.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Explosives Detection Canine conducted a search of the building but nothing suspicious was found.

The Henry County Department of Public Safety and volunteer fire and rescue units were on scene as a precaution.

A male employee was identified as a suspect. Alvin Hunt, 22, of Martinsville, was charged with a count of Threat to Bomb (Felony). He was released on a $3,500 unsecured bond.
