ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) Former Roanoke Mayor David Bowers says he's weighing another run for public office.
Thursday, he told WDBJ7, he might seek the Democratic nomination for Lieutenant Governor next year.
Bowers briefly considered running for Congress after he announced he wouldn't seek another term as Roanoke Mayor.
Now, he says he could help bring geographical balance to the statewide Democratic ticket.
"Perhaps I can add a new perspective to that ticket by representing the west and being a voice of the west," Bowers said.
Bowers isn't the only resident of western Virginia who might join the hunt for the Democratic nomination.
Businessman Mike Hamlar confirms he is also considering a run for Lieutenant Governor.
