Carilion Clinic hosts Harvest Festival at their Urban Farm
You can celebrate the fall season Thursday, October 17, at Carilion Clinic's Morningside Urban Farm!
The educational farm is meant to inspire healthy lifestyles. The festival on the farm will celebrate the end of the season and the community partnerships that made this farm possible. You can expect Brunswick stew, apple cobblers, live music and pumpkin painting, among other activities. It is free and open to the public.
"When you bring communities together, they start to really feel like they are apart of something, and I think we've done a lot of good things here at the farm, and the community is more involved than they have ever been involved," Edie Naughton, Registered Nurse and Health Educator for Carilion Clinic Community Health and Outreach, said.
You can come to 917 Morgan Avenue Thursday night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m for the festival.
