MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7)-- UPDATE: A Martinsville woman has been charged after an infant was left alone in a car in a Walmart parking lot Monday.
Deputies watched surveillance video from the store security cameras and determined the child had been left in the car with the engine off for less than 10 minutes. All evidence was then reviewed with the Commonwealth's Attorney and Child Protective Services.
That led to the arrest of 62-year-old Francis Kissee of Martinsville for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, which is a misdemeanor. She was then released on a $1,500 bond.
WDBJ7 is working to find out about the relationship between the infant and the suspect, and how the charge relates to the accusation.
