Missing Christiansburg man found dead

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (WBDJ7) - UPDATE:

Carl Dennis Alls, 71, of Christiansburg, was found dead Friday around 6:30 p.m.

Alls went missing Sunday, September 15 after leaving his home for a motorcycle ride.

Officials say a person out searching Friday night found Alls' motorcycle near the Motor Mile Speedway on Route 11 in Pulaski County, about two miles south of Sheetz.

The crash and the cause of death are currently under investigation.

The Christiansburg Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding a missing man.

Carl Dennis Alls of Christiansburg was last reported seen leaving his home in Christiansburg Sunday, September 15, about 7:30 p.m. He told his wife he was going for a motorcycle ride with no particular destination, and that he would be back in about an hour. Police say he has not been seen or heard from since.

Alls is 71, 5’8” and about 200 pounds. He has brown and gray hair, a beard and blue eyes. He was last reported seen wearing black shorts and a blue shirt. He was driving a 2010 red Honda GL1800 trike (similar to the one in the attached photo) bearing VA license tag ‘NY2'.
