Christiansburg looks for public input on new town sign designs

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) Signs around Christiansburg are changing, and the designer wants resident input.

Town Government wants the new sign design to be reflective of the Town’s identity and establishes a sense of place, destination and community in Christiansburg.

The town is working to replace and add more wayfinding signs to help motorists and pedestrians navigate throughout town, to identify and highlight town parks, points of interests and public parking spaces and to inform and educate residents and visitors through information kiosks and potential digital signage.

It will also be redoing free parking signs and the ones welcoming drivers to town.

Christiansburg has already partnered with KMA Design to create the new signs.

But before a design can be finalized the town has a survey for people to give their input.

A link to that survey is available under the Related Links section of this article.
