ROANOKE, Va (WDBJ7) - Rain or shine, Roanoke residents and surrounding community members celebrated the 29th annual Pride festival. Decked out in rainbow, people came together to honor their differences. The atmosphere was filled with smiles, joy and plenty of dancing.
"Here is so safe, you get accepted no matter what," said Rilee Rodgers, a Hidden Valley Middle School student. "It's one big happy family."
The festival will continue tomorrow at the Elmwood Park Amphitheatre, ending the weekend with a live finale concert.
