Six treated for smoke inhalation after laundromat fire in Roanoke

Roanoke Fire-EMS is investigating the cause of a fire at Grandin Road Laundromat in Roanoke.

When crews arrived to the scene, they reported seeing heavy smoke conditions.

Officials say six people were treated on the scene for smoke inhalation, but everyone is expected to be okay.

Crews were able to control the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Firefighters and rescue personnel are on the scene of a fire near the Grandin Theatre.

Roanoke Dispatch says that the fire did not happen at the Grandin Theatre, but occurred at the 1400 block of Grandin Road near the famous venue.

There is no word on if anyone has been injured in the fire.
