DANVILLE, VA. (WDBJ) -- Crews responded to an early Wednesday morning house fire in Danville.
The Danville Fire Department said the fire occurred at a small two-story home along 920 Roberts Lane at 2:15 a.m.
On arrival, crews did not see any fire showing from the street. After further investigation, the basement of the home was found filled with smoke.
The fire was later located in the basement inside of the breaker box at 2:41 a.m. Officials said the basement sustained minor fire and water damage, with the rest of the home sustaining smoke damage.
All occupants were safely removed.
The Fire Marshal's office determined the cause of the fire was electrical related.
