According to State Police, a two-vehicle crash occurred near the Intersection of 811 in Bedford County around 6:45 p.m. involving a car and a Freightliner Truck.

Police say the truck was making a U-Turn from the westbound lane into the eastbound lane when it hit a car going east. Police say the car was traveling at about 60 mph at the time of the crash.

Police say oil from the truck spilled onto the roadway and is currently being cleaned up. Both eastbound lanes are closed but should be opened within the next 30 minutes.

According to State Police, the driver of the car, William Goff Jr., 47, of Lynchburg, was taken to the hospital and is currently in critical condition.

Police say the driver of the truck was identified as Jamison Ishman, of Tennesee. Ishman was charged with failure to yield to right of way, police say. It is unclear if Ishman suffered any injuries in the crash.

Crews are working a multi-vehicle accident on Route 460E near New London Road, according to Bedford dispatchers.

Right now all eastbound lanes between Owens Market and Truck Plaza, and New London Road are closed.
