UPDATE: Wanted man in connection with Danville homicide arrested

A person of interest in a Danville homicide was arrested in Greensboro, N.C. Monday afternoon.

Danville Police say that warrants were issued for 30-year-old Diarion Marqui Davis, of Reidsville, N.C. for possession of a firearm by a violent convicted felon.

An investigation into the whereabouts of Davis revealed that he may had been in Greensboro, N.C. After coordinating with the Greensboro Police Department, Davis was arrested. Police say he will be extradited back to Virginia at a later date.


Danville Police has identified the victim of the morning homicide as Arthur Obrian Anderson, 31, of Semora, Nc.


According to Danville Police, officers responded to reports of a person lying in the street in the 200 block of Rocklawn Ave.

We officers arrived on the scene they found a male lying in the road suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police say the male was transported to SOVAH where he later died.

Police are not releasing the name of the victim until the family is notified.

The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
