DANVILLE, Va (WDBJ)- After making national headlines, the Danville Public Schools food truck served more meals than ever this summer.
During June and July, the schools served over 43,000 free meals to students across the city.
Now, they plan to expand the service, providing a special lunch at different schools throughout the week, and starting an after school meal program to inspire families to eat dinner together.
Their new programs are set to start next month.
