Danville Police have released the name of a driver who died in a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a car Saturday morning.

Police say 24-year-old Mary McDonald of Danville was driving south in the 500 block of Kentuck Road when her 1997 Honda Accord crossed into oncoming traffic. The sedan struck a tractor-trailer heading north. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Investigators are working to determine what may have caused the sedan to leave its lane of travel. Based on the information we know at this time, neither speed nor alcohol appear to have been contributing factors," said Danville Police Departments's Public Information Officer Lt. Richard Chivvis.

No other injuries have been reported. The Danville Police Department is asking anyone with information about the crash to call them at 799-6510.
