Special deals and freebies for military members in honor of Veterans Day

Veterans Day - a day marked to celebrate our military heroes - is right around the corner. Here are a list of deals going on for both veterans and active military members on Monday, November 11, as well as days surrounding the holiday. In addition to those listed, there are many museums, restaurants, retail and other businesses that offer discounts year-round for members of the military. Restaurant deals:

Applebee’s:
Veterans and Active Duty Military can select a free meal from a limited menu on Veteran’s Day. Provide proof of service required.

Bob Evans:
Bob Evans Restaurants are offering free select menu items to Veterans and Active Duty Military on Veterans Day.

Buffalo Wild Wings:
Veterans and active military can get a free order of small boneless or traditional wings, with a side of fries at participating locations. Proof of service is required.

Chili’s Grill & Bar:
All veterans and active duty military personnel can choose a complimentary meal from a select menu on Veterans Day.

Chipotle:
Veterans, active-duty military and military spouses can enjoy a BOGO deal on burritos, bowls, salads and taco orders.

Cicis Pizza:
Free pizza buffet with valid active duty or retired military ID on Veterans Day.

Country Cookin:
All active, reserve, retired and honorably discharged members of the U.S. military are invited to dine on Veteran’s Day. Show a valid military ID and fill out the service card to receive a free salad bar or $5 off any entree.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store:
Veterans receive a complimentary Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola® Cake dessert or Crafted Coffee beverage.

Denny’s All You Can Eat Pancakes:
All active, non-active or retired military personnel at all participating Denny’s restaurants nationwide will receive a free Build Your Own Grand Slam breakfast on Veterans Day from 5 a.m. to noon. Diners must show ID to receive this offer.

Dunkin' Donuts:
Veterans and active-duty military can get a free donut while supplies last on Veterans Day.

Golden Corral:
On Veterans Day, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Golden Corral offers a free sit-in “thank you” dinner for Military veterans, retirees and active duty members.

Huddle House:
Active, retired and veteran military member can get a free Sweet Cake from November 8 through November 11. Proper military ID is required.

IHOP:
All active duty and Veterans are invited to come in and enjoy free Red, White & Blue Pancakes on Veterans Day, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Little Caesars Pizza:
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Veterans Day, veterans and active military members can receive a free $5 HOT-N-READY® Lunch Combo.

Logan’s Roadhouse:
All active duty and retired U.S. military personnel are invited to enjoy a free meal from the American Roadhouse menu in honor of Veterans Day. This offer is available from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at all Logan’s Roadhouse restaurants nationwide on November 11.

LongHorn Steakhouse:
Veterans and active-duty military can get a free appetizer or dessert and 10 percent off their meal.

Muscle Maker Grill:
One free meal per veteran or active member of the U.S. military on Veterans Day.

O’Charley’s:
All active and retired military service members are invited to enjoy a free meal from O’Charley’s. Veterans can choose from O’Charley’s “Veterans Thank You Menu” all day on November 11 simply by showing their military IDs.

Olive Garden:
Free meal for all veterans and active-duty military on Veterans Day. Proof of service required.

Outback Steakhouse:
All military personnel with an ID can get a free Bloomin' Onion and Coke product on Veterans Day. Outback Steakhouse is also giving out a discount of 20 percent off the total check from November 8 to November 11, valid for military, police, firefighters and first responders with a valid ID.

Red Lobster:
Veterans, active duty military and reservists will receive a free appetizer or dessert from a select Veterans Day menu. To receive offer, show a valid military ID.

Red Robin:
All Veterans and active duty military get a free dine-in Red’s Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries on Veterans Day.

Sheetz:
Sheetz invites all veterans and active-duty military personnel to enjoy a free six-inch turkey sub and a regular size fountain drink. Sheetz locations offering car washes will also provide a free car wash to veterans and active-duty military. Military ID or proof of service must be presented to qualify.

Shoney's:
Veterans and troop members can access a free all-you-care-to-eat breakfast buffet from open to 11 a.m.

Smoothie King:
Veterans, active-duty military, servicemen and servicewomen can get a free 20-ounce smoothie with proof of service.

Starbucks:
Veterans, active-duty military and military spouses can get a free tall coffee on Veterans Day.

TCBY:
Veterans can get a free six-ounce frozen yogurt at participating location. Proof of service may be required.

Texas Roadhouse:
All active, retired or former military members can receive a free lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Veterans Day. Choose from a 10-entree menu, drink included.

Texas Steakhouse & Saloon:
Active-duty and retired military service members get 10 percent off for them and up to five friends and family. Must present valid military I.D.

Zoe's Kitchen:
Active-military and veterans can receive 10 percent off with a valid ID.

7-Eleven
Get a free coffee or Big Gulp on Memorial Day, July 4th and Veterans Day. Download the 7-Eleven app and sign in or register.

Castile Market - Covington
Veterans get a free breakfast or dinner platter.

Museums and attractions:

Colonial Williamsburg:
Free admission to all active-duty military, retired, veterans, activated or drilling reservists, National Guard personnel and up to three direct dependents November 8 through November 11.

James Madison's Montpelier:
From November 8 through 11, veterans can get a free house tour and museum shop discount with proof of service.

National Law Enforcement Museum:
Free admission on Veterans Day to all veterans and active-military members with proof of service.

National Parks:
Anyone - not just veterans - can enter any National Park for free on November 11.

Newseum:
Free admission for veterans and active-military members, along with one guest, from November 9 through November 11 with proof of service.

Other deals:

American Family Care:
Veterans can get a free flu shot with proof of service.

Good Year Auto Service/Just Tire:
Active and retired military members can receive a free car care check and tire installation from November 8 through November 16.

Grace for Veterans:
Thousands of car washes are offering veterans a free car wash (including Sheetz and Car Lovers). Click here to find a location.

Great Clips:
Veterans and active-duty military can get a free haircut or a free haircut card to use later.

Kohl's:
Thirty-percent discount for Veterans Day from November 7 through November 11.

Lowe's:
Lowe’s will offer all active, reserve, honorably discharged, retired military personnel and their immediate family members a 10 percent discount on in-store U.S. purchases made during the Veterans Day holiday with proof of service.

Sport Clips:
Veterans and active-duty military can get a free haircut at participating locations.

Target:
Military personnel, veterans and their families can get a 10 percent discount on one purchase in-store or online, but you have to verify your eligibility.
