Denton: Stakes are high for third Democratic debate
10 Democratic presidential candidates are meeting in Houston for the third debate of the campaign.
And for the first time all of the top contenders will be on the same stage on the same night.
Virginia Tech Professor and WDBJ7 Political Analyst Bob Denton said it's an important night for the front-runners, and for those trying to regain momentum.
"We have three candidates who are certainly in double digits, first time facing each other," Denton said. "We've got seven who want to move up desperately and this may be for some of them their last opportunity to do that. So I think tonight's very important for all of them."
Denton said it won't be long before the field narrows again, with perhaps only five candidates still viable in the hunt for the Democratic nomination.
