The driver ran away from the scene and was later found.

Police say the suspect is cooperating with investigators.

An accident will cause widespread power outages on Thursday in Pulaski.

A driver hit an Appalachian Power pole on the 1000 block of East Main Street around 4:17 a.m., significantly damaging both the pole and the truck.

The driver ran away and was later caught. The driver is cooperating with the investigation.

No one was hurt.

Due to the danger and amount of work required to repair the damage, that section of East Main Street is barricaded in both directions.

A large part of town will be affected by a power outage until crews complete repairs, according to AEP.
