ROANOKE, Va. (WDJB7) It's a tradition three decades in the making, and hundreds turned out for their chance on the dance floor.
Everything was coming up roses at the 33rd Annual Valentine's Dinner-Dance inside the Hotel Roanoke Monday.
It's a chance for Roanoke-area adults with disabilities to have a night of fine food, fellowship, and entertainment.
This is the biggest event of the year for organizers with Therapeutic Recreation Services.
"We have folks here that have been coming ten, 15, 20 years, but what's really special is there are a lot of people that this is their first time. So they're able to start that tradition today," Anna Grim said.
Grim says the event is so popular some attendees will start asking about next year's event as soon as this one ends.
