ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- Burgers and hot dogs to honor the men and women in blue!
This is Exalted Church's 5th annual Police Appreciation lunch. It took place at Haley Toyota in Roanoke.
All of the food was free for the hundreds of men and women who stopped by.
"We live in a time, you know it's tough. There is a lot of back and forth. A lot of division. A lot of criticism towards our police departments, but I'm one of those who is grateful that when I lay my head down and I time I feel safe, " Pastor Jim Asberry said.
"Humbled. Grateful. We still have a lot of people in the community that supports us that pray for us that have our backs I had to reset the time. It validates why we do our job," Officer Fatima Foster said.
Organizers expected to feed up to 300 law enforcement officers.
