FBI offers $7,500 reward for information about 2017 deadly robbery at Danville store

DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- On the two-year anniversary of a robbery in Danville that left one man dead, the FBI is asking for the public's help solving the case.

FBI investigators have increased the reward in finding a person(s) responsible for a 2017 incident.

On September 12, 2017, officers of the Danville Police Department responded to the Joy Food Store located at the 500 block of Riverside Drive. On arrival, officers found Tahir Mahmud dead and determined the store had been robbed.

Police say the suspect who killed Mahmud was a slender black male wearing unique jeans.
