Four new RCPS principals announced for the 2019-2020 school year

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- Roanoke City Public Schools (RCPS) has named its four newest principals for the 2019-2020 school year.

Announced on the RCPS website, both new and familiar faces will be joining the RCPS administrative team at: Patrick Henry High Shcool, Lucy Addison Middle, Woodrow Wilson and Round Hill Elementary.

Anthony Frazier will serve as the newest principal of Patrick Henry High School. Frazier has 28 years of experience in education and four years as a high school principal. Parents, staff and students are invited to meet Frazier Wednesday, July 17 at 5;30 p.m. at Patrick Henry's Atrium.

Andy Wheeling will serve as the newest principal of Lucy Addison Middle School. Wheeling has 14 years of experience in administration and recently served as a principal at a Department of Defense School in Germany. Wheeling will hold a meet and greet as soon as he completes his relocation from Germany to Roanoke.

Katherine Duncan is the newest principal of Round Hill Elementary. Duncan was formerly the assistant principal at James Madison Middle School and previously was a special education teacher at William Fleming High School. Staff, students and parents are invited to meet Duncan on Tuesday, July 30 at 5:30 p.m. at Round Hill's cafeteria.

Finally, Bradley Jenkins is the newest principal of Woodrow Wilson Middle School. Jenkins was previously an assistant principal at Patrick Henry and William Fleming High Schools.
