Are you ready for some great trout fishing and bluegrass music?

You can enjoy plenty of both this weekend at Glen Maury Park in Buena Vista.

The inaugural Fish & Pick Festival is happening May 20-22. It combines trout fishing with the finest bluegrass music.

A key highlight will be a performance by Junior Sisk and Ramblers Choice, the 2014 SPBGMA Bluegrass Band of the Year, on Saturday, May 21.

The weekend will be packed with family activities, fishing clinics, and contests.

The river will be stocked with more than 1,000 rainbow and brown trout to ensure a great catch for the participants. There will also be demos for canoeing, biking, campfire cooking, archery, turkey calling and more throughout the day on Saturday. A paintball obstacle course, provided by Stonewall Paint Ball, will be available for all ages to enjoy.

Glen Maury Park offers 60 sites with water and power for campers and RVs at $30 per night. There are hundreds of dry camp sites for tents and self-contained campers at $15 per night.

Camper check-in begins at noon on Friday, May 20.

All campsite registrations and event tickets can be made online.

Event tickets are purchased separately from campsites.

The $25 All The Fun Pass includes all events, clinics, demos, contests and concerts. Kids under the age of 16 are free.

Attendees may also purchase tickets for select programs and concerts individually online or at the event. If you just want fishing, the ticket is $10 per person.

There is no charge for the fish that are caught and kept and kids under 16 are free.

If you just want to come to the concerts, the full two-night ticket is $20 or you can purchase a $5 ticket for Friday night, or a $15 ticket for the Junior Sisk and Ramblers Choice Saturday night show.
