Lynchburg, Va. (WDBJ7) Greater Lynchburg Transit Company is preparing to move into a new facility on Bradley Drive.

Crews have been working on the project since May 2015. It is nearly $23 million and expected to be completed by December. The bus company is well overdue for an upgrade

"GLTC has been in the same location since before it was GLTC. When our transit system was the Lynchburg Traction and Light Company. It was privately owned. It operated out of our current location on Kemper Street which dates back to the early 1920s," General Manager Josh Baker said.

The new facility will open in February.
