HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ7) -- A Henry County teacher has been arrested and charged for sending inappropriate text messages to a 16-year-old.

On Thursday, July 11th, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office received information that Carlos Raphel Wade, 32, of Martinsville sent a sexually explicit photo and messages to the teenager.

Police say the messages were not sent, nor received, while either Wade or the teen were on school property.

Wade was arrested and charged with two counts of solicitation of a child.

He is currently being held in the Henry County jail without bond.

Wade has resigned and is no longer an employee of the Henry County School System.
