High winds in Southwest Virginia leave thousands without power

High winds leave nearly 1,500 people in southwest Virginia without power Wednesday morning.

According to an Appalachian Power Company (APCo) map, a majority of customers in the Pulaski County area are experiencing power outages. Power is expected to be restored around 11:30 a.m.

Floyd County has just over 300 people without power, APCo states that power should be restored around 11:00 a.m.
