ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- The Grandin Theatre Foundation, along with the West End Center, invite kids to combine physical activity with a cultural educational opportunity to enjoy a show at the end.
The West End Walk is a mile-long group walk that starts at the West End Center and ends at the Grandin Theatre. The next opportunity to take part will happen at 9 a.m. on June 18 and will be followed by dates on July 2, 16 and 30.
"We are always looking for external opportunities to expose the students to their community, and we are so excited about the chance to bring them to the Grandin Theatre and the Village multiple times this summer for the fourth summer in a row," West End Center Executive Director Joy Parrish said in a news release.
Once the 100-plus students from the West End Center's summer program end their journey, they will watch a movie or production depending on the day's details.
