Kitten rescued from car engine up for adoption in Martinsville

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- A kitten rescued from a car engine is now looking for it's 'furever' home.

According to a post by the Martinsville Police Department, a motorist reported hearing their engine "purr" in an unusual way.

A Martinsville police officer came to help out and rescued a small kitten from engine.

Police are not sure where the kitten originally came from.

It is now up for adoption at the Martinsville Henry County SPCA.
